“Hey man, come on! Stop taking pictures, we’re on this trip to have fun, not to be constantly waiting for you!”. Photographers, right? You’ve probably heard it a thousand times if you don’t leave home without a camera. And your tripod, and your lenses, and your filters. We have to admit it, traveling with one of us is not for everyone —it gets old soon. But we have to be there at least 20 minutes before the golden hour! And hey, since we’re here, why don’t we stay here another half an hour for the blue hour, right? And what if this pano won’t stitch well? Maybe it’s best if I take a couple more.

I am one of those photographers. I guess my friends cursed at me countless times during our hunts for the best views. I’m trying to stop thinking about that picture I want to take and to focus on experiencing the view instead. The world outside the optical or electronic viewfinder is much more beautiful. You could just decide to go on your photo trips alone. Plan ahead and try to make the trip the least stressful for who’s with you —don’t be the lone photographer. When you show them your pictures, you’ll share the memories together. Or you could just look for photographers friends!
