Fading away by Cheree Smith
Fading away is a series depicting how depression can weigh on a person throughout their day. I undertook this series for a university assignment, but it is also a very personal topic for me, and I wanted to show the helplessness that one can feel when battling depression.
To help show the feelings of depression, I wanted to keep the photos monochromatic, and was inspired by the look of Greek statues so I spent a day covering my model in slip porcelain in order to get a monochromatic image. Cherree tells ShutYourAperture.
